Welcome to the Web site of the

Farmington Valley Greenway

and the

Farmington Valley Trails Council (FVTC)

.....An interactive site about a lovely 25 mile multi-use trail being constructed through five towns in the Farmington Valley of Central Connecticut.

The Farmington Valley Greenway and a spur route, the Farmington River Trail, are part of the Farmington Canal Heritage Trail covering 60 miles along the abandoned rail corridors from the Massachusetts border to New Haven.

Dear President of FV Greenway,

My sister Meredy and I love the Greenway in Farmington and ride, bike and and run our dog on it almost everyday.

Yesterday we cleaned a ½ mile stretch of it as part of Farmington's Clean Up day

We thought you might enjoy the "Trash Statute" we made in honor of keeping our trail clean. If you would like, you could use these pictures to help support your efforts in encouraging people to keep the Greenway clean.
