  Join Deb and Garry McConville on another long distance journey, this time on foot through the western Alps! Their 50 day backpack trip roughly followed the Italian-French border frontier through several national parks on a little known route. A spectacular trail of high Alpine passes and wildflower meadows, this was an adventurous and enjoyable way to explore the Italian flora, fauna, and food of this quiet side of the Alps.

  

  The McConvilles have enjoyed many travel adventures, backpacking and bicycling throughout the world together for almost 30 years. Valuing their independence and freedom, they prefer to let their trips take them on a journey of discovery and adventure. They travel close to the earth, under their own steam, choosing the road or trail less traveled. For the McConvilles, this travel philosophy has made all the difference.

  Please join us for an informative evening outlining the progress and challenges of the Farmington Valley Greenway presented by the Board of the Farmington Valley Trails Council, followed by the McConvilles' multimedia presentation. Refreshments will be served and there is no admission charge. All are welcome.
