Trails-in-Motion June 2, 2012

Saturday, June 2nd, 2012 marks the date for our 15^th annual Trails-in-Motion tour.  The tour promotes public awareness of the rails-to-trails initiative in the Farmington Valley and is held in conjunction with National Trails Day. We had over 300 participants last year and we expect another great time this year. All events will start and finish at the Iron Horse Boulevard lot in the center of Simsbury, CT. Once again the Town of Simsbury, local police and other area organizations will be partnering with us.

This family oriented day is designed for trail users of all abilities. The signature events are the 10, 30, 50, and 62-mile (metric century) bicycle tours utilizing the trails and allowing participants to enjoy some of the most spectacular scenery in the Farmington Valley.  Walkers, runner and skaters are also welcome. Light snacks (energy bars, fruit, and drinks) are provided at the start.  There are rest stops along the way, with food, water, and energy boosters. Door prizes await participants at the finish.

Your fees go directly to construction, beautification and maintenance of the trails and may be tax deductible.  The FVTC is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) CT volunteer corporation.

Registrations must be received by May 26th to receive the reduced rates below. Day-of-Event registrations add $5 (except kids).

• If you wish to register by mail, download and complete the registration and waiver. (One per person or family). Incomplete forms will be returned. 
• Make checks payable to Farmington Valley Trails Council.  Do not send cash in the mail. 
• Mail your completed forms and Registration Fee to: Farmington Valley Trails Council, P.O. Box 576, Tariffville, CT 06081. 
• Fees are non-refundable – Event is rain or shine. Walk-in registrations will be accepted on the day of the Event.
